Markwell initially sent AARF a few reports and pictures about 乐华 but eventually he stopped.

Court Battle for 乐华
In November 希瑟 asked Markwell 至 return 乐华. He refused. However, thanks to the support of a generous donor 希瑟 hired a lawyer 至 sue for custody of 乐华.

Meeting 乐华

Finding a home for 乐华 was a challenge because he is a big, muscular pit bull with a high prey drive and needed large yard with a high fence where he could exercise.
